Porsche launch 911 Carrera 4 GTS ‘British Legends Edition’

Porsche have launched a special edition 911 GTS to celebrate the success of its UK drivers at Le Mans. Porsche has now claimed its 19th overall victory at Le Mans, making them the most successful manufacturer of the highly coveted endurance race. To mark the occasion, Porsche have launched a special edition 911 to honour three UK drivers, Richard Attwood, Derek Bell MBE and Nick Tandy.

The special edition is based on the 911 Carrera 4 GTS and is available in three different versions, Guards Red, Sapphire Blue Metallic and Carrera White Metallic, all paying homage to each of the drivers’ winning car liveries.

The special editions retain the same 444bhp turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six engine from the GTS, however, they do benefit from extra fitted options, including Rear-Wheel steering, Sport PASM chassis and LED headlights. However, the biggest change is the unique colour combinations and decals. The inside receives a black leather and Alcantara combination, with an embossed armrest, union jack badges and sill kick plates engraved with the special edition. All three variants can be fitted with either a seven-speed manual, or the optional PDK transmission.

Prices start from £122,376 for the Guards Red edition, with the other two starting at £123,210 due to the more expensive metallic paint.
