Porsche Performs Again

Porsche Performs Again

The Porsche 918 Spyder has beaten its own performance figures during the final testing stages. The hybrid hypercar combines a 4.6l V8 petrol engine with two electric motors; a 125hp to power the front wheels and a 154hp unit for the rear. These engines combined enable the supercar to offer exceptional performance whilst remaining eco-friendly; reaching 0-62 without producing any CO2. Taking just 2.5 seconds to complete 0-60mph makes the supercar 0.2 seconds faster than initially anticipated. Combined with the optional Weissach performance package, 0-124mph is achieved in an incredible 7.2 seconds! The McLaren P1 better watch its back, with Porsche succeeding to handle bends as well as speed; creating the first road legal car to complete the 12.9 mile circuit at Nürburgring in just 6 minutes 57 seconds. First deliveries of the supercar are expected by the end of the year; however this car isn’t geared for daily use, owners should prepare themselves to spend more time admiring its glory from afar.
