Porsche to release new 500bhp Panamera E-Hybrid

Porsche is set to unveil a new high-output version of its Panamera E-Hybrid at the Geneva motor show in March.

The new E-hybrid model will be unveiled alongside the new Sport Turismo Panamera shooting brake. It will slot in above the current Panamera 4 E-hybrid in the range, it will be faster and more powerful.

The powertrain is yet to be revealed by Porsche, however use a combination of the petrol engine and electric motor. The current 4 E-Hybrid runs on a 2.9-litre V6. Porsche has teased some performance statistics. The new E-hybrid will offer at least 500bhp and will be capable of an impressive top speed of 180mph.

Full details and delivery date will be announced by Porsche at the Geneva Motor Show.
