Porsche release a sneak peak of the Panamera

Porsche has released a teaser image and a video of the next-generation Panamera, which will make its official debut later this summer.

The image reveals styling changes to the rear of the car, which features new LED lights and a LED strip running across the back, influenced by a retro-911 design.

The new Panamera will not be offered with naturally-aspirated engines this time around. There will be a choice of petrol and diesel turbocharged motors only. The new model will also bring with it a redesigned 547bhp twin-turbo V8 engine, which was announced at the Vienna Motor Symposium.

Spy images of the Panamera testing, suggest that the new model will have sleeker lines with a longer bonnet and lower roofline. The rear of the car appears wider and a new lightweight MSB platform developed by the VW group, can be expected to be used for the foundation of the next model. The Porsche will retain its active rear wing, adding to the car’s handling and downforce.  An updated interior has also been spotted; the centre console will be similar to the 918 Spyder.

Porsche hope to reinvent the Panamera with redesigned lines and new tech. The Panamera will make its official debut later this year.
