Porsche reveal special edition 911

To celebrate their racing prowess in Le Mans and beyond, Porsche has announced its Exclusive department will release a special edition 911 Carrera. The new ‘911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition’ receives styling updates and racing inspired tweaks.

The Endurance Racing Edition celebrates Porsche’s success and pedigree in motorsport and will make its public debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed. The exterior styling of the car takes inspiration from the Porsche team’s World Endurance championship 919 hybrids and will be available in a choice of White, Black or Guards Red with contrasting coloured decals. The special edition comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels.

The interior features racing livery, the steering wheel has a red band at 12 o’clock and the cabin is finished in carbonfibre trim. The special edition is finished in black leather with red seat belts and leather-trimmed red floor mats. The Porsche badge is embossed into the headrests and ‘911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition’ is lit up on the door sills.

Performance is the same as the standard Carrera S, running on a twin-turbo 3.0-litre flat-six outputting 414bhp and 369lb ft of torque.  The special edition does receive a host of upgrades as standard including, twin sport exhaust, the Sport Chrono pack and Dynamic Chassis Control with rear wheel steering and PASM sports chassis. The racing edition also comes with an electric sunroof, dynamic LED headlights, parking sensors and a choice of a manual or PDK gearbox.

The new model will be on display this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and is available to order now in the UK and Ireland for £107,216.
