Porsche Reveals a New Pure Electric Concept Car!

Porsche revealed its new 600bhp all-electric 800-volt sports car concept, called Mission E, at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week.

Porsche claim the Mission E will manage 0-62mph in less than 3.5 secs, reaching a top speed of over 155mph.  Due to its world-first 800V architecture, the car will be able to charge to 80% within 15 minutes.

Although the windows, roofline and chunky arches match Porsche’s trademark styling, the four-door sports car gets new rear-hinged rear doors, new 3D headlamps, new clamshell bonnet and new pinstripe tail light.

The interior of the car has a futuristic look with clever new holograms for certain instrument functions and several interior functions are operated by gesture control.

Wolfgang Hatz, Porsche’s R&D boss stated that, with the Mission E they “…intend to start a new era with Porsche, similar to the 911 fifty years ago” and added that the company will need 3 – 3.5 years to put it into production.
