Rare 580bhp Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG

This extremely rare 2004 Mercedes-Benz is headed to The Historics’ auction on the 26th November. It is one of only 40 right-hand-drive models made and is in great condition.

The beautiful example is one of 100 special road-legal CLK’s that were adapted from the DTM race car. The original 100 coupes were purchased by invitation only and 40 of which were right-hand specified, making this a unique opportunity to own one. Jenson Button and Takuma Sato both owned one of these stunning cars.

These AMG powered cars were inspired by Bernd Schneider’s DTM car, featuring a boot-mounted rear wing, large air ducts and larger wheel arches. Lightweight carbon fibre panels have been used on the exterior and interior.

The AMG engine is a purists dream, powered by a 5.4-litre supercharged V8, producing 580bhp. The CLK is capable of 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds with a limited top speed of 200mph. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5 speed semi-automatic gearbox. The Mercedes has mechanical limited slip diff and ESP.

The car is registered to the UK and only has 9,940 miles on the clock. The full Mercedes-Benz service history is included and the car has been kept in great condition.

It will go to auction on the 26th November during Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands The Historics’ auction. It is expected to go for £210,000 – £250,000.
