Re-design for the RS7

Re-design for the RS7

Audi have revealed their facelifted RS7, which is due to go on sale in the final Quarter of 2014. After its first reveal at the Detroit Motor Show in 2013, the RS7 has experienced modifications to its styling. This includes a slightly revised front end with a restyled grille, along with a stronger rear bumper. A more significant change is to the headlights and rear lights. These have been re-designed using Audi Matrix LED lights, which uses darkened graphics to improve the cars visuals. The RS7 comes with 20 inch wheels as a standard, however for those desiring a little more exclusivity; there is the option of 21 inch wheels, in three different colours. If that’s not sufficient, Audi have also made three packages available; Matt Aluminium, Gloss Black and Carbon together with four new paint finishes, to further increase the exclusivity of your RS7. Inside, the optional Multi Media Interface has been updated to provide a faster operation speed. Furthermore, there have been alterations to the cars controls, including the shift paddles and air vents operators. In terms of performance, the RS7 remains much the same, with the unchanged 4.0 litre V8 direct injection petrol engine. The RS7 produces 552bhp and 516lb of torque between 1750 and 5500rpm. This power is channelled through the standard 8-speed automatic gearbox to all four wheels. As before, the RS7 accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is usually limited to 155mph; however this can be raised to either 174mph or 190mph when the optional ‘Dynamic’ package is chosen. The UK pricing is yet to be confirmed; however the RS7 is anticipated to be priced close to the existing model which costs £83,515.
