Refreshed Audi R8 spotted
A refreshed Audi R8 has been spotted testing on the road, sporting new bumpers and exhaust outlets. The new front bumper features a wider grille, similar to the new A7, and the slats previously found under the headlights have been replaced by a mesh design to match the grille.
The side sills and rear bumper have also undergone a redesign, with the rear now sporting one long full-width mesh panel. The updated R8 test mule has new oval style pipes, that can be seen poking out of a redesigned rear diffuser.
Whilst no confirmation has been made on the power outputs, or even what engine will feature, it’s a fair bet to say the current V10 will stay for the mid-life facelift version; however as to what engine the next R8 will use is anybody’s guess, due to the uncertainty around engine emissions regulations.
