Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV ready for launch…

Rolls-Royce has officially unveiled its eagerly-anticipated Cullinan SUV.

Over 200mm longer and 150mm wider than its Bentley Bentayga rival, the new Cullinan features the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine as the Phantom, delivering 563bhp, 627lb of torque and a top speed of 155mph.  There’s an eight-speed automatic gearbox, powering all four wheels, which come fitted with 22-inch alloys as standard.

The Cullinan is based on the same all-aluminium space frame used in the Phantom and employs a similar air-suspension system, which self-adjusts to the camera and satellite data to deliver the ‘magic carpet’ ride quality that Rolls-Royce is famous for.

The exterior features the familiar Rolls-Royce design elements, including a bluff, upright Parthenon grille, crowned with the Spirit of Ecstasy and flanked by two large LED headlights.  The interior is built to Rolls-Royce’s usual exceptional standards, with a simple, uncluttered cabin design that focuses on quality throughout.  There’s 555 litres of boot space, growing to 600 litres with the seats down and the options list includes a ‘Viewing Suite’, featuring a pair of seats fitted to the open tailgate as part of the ‘Recreation Module’.

The Cullinan is expected to be priced around £275,000, with first deliveries due to arrive at the end of 2018.
