Rolls-Royce reveal one-off ‘Sweptail’
Rolls-Royce has hinted that it may build more personalised cars in the future, after revealing its latest bespoke creation, the ‘Sweptail’.
The one-off two-seater is based on the aluminium spaceframe of the Phantom VII Coupe, and was commissioned by an unnamed Rolls-Royce customer. It’s powered by the same 6.75-litre V12 engine as the Phantom VII and features a host of unique design elements, including a system that dispenses a bottle of champagne at the touch of a button.
The exterior design is inspired by a combination of vintage Rolls-Royce models and luxury yachts – ‘Sweptail’ refers to the 1930s swept-tail design of Rolls-Royce motors.
The ultra-luxury car was displayed at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Lake Como, Italy, before being delivered to its new owner.
