Sales Soar for the Luxury Car Market

As the financial market continues to improve, so have the sales of Bentley, Rolls-Royce and many other luxury car brands. Data shows Bentley have sold 943 models in the first six months of 2014, in comparison with the 692 models sold in the first half of 2013. Rolls-Royce also recorded an increase in sales figures with 260 models sold in the first half this year, compared with 196 models for the same period last year.

Bentley and Rolls-Royce are not the only ones to be experiencing more sales in 2014; Porsche and Jaguar reported sales increasing by 20 and 15 per cent respectively, year on year. Equally, Maserati have had a fantastic start to 2014, selling 624 models in the first six months, which is almost double what they achieved for the whole of 2013. According to Paul Watters from the AA, growing customer confidence is to thank for this increase in luxury car sales.

A total of 723,000 vehicles were sold between April and June 2014. This is an eight per cent increase on the same period last year and also beats the pre-recession figures from back in 2008.
