Spyker reveal the C8 Preliator

The resurrected Dutch company Spyker unveiled its latest car, the C8 Preliator at the Geneva Motor Show this Month.  It’s the firm’s first car in three years since the B6 Venator and exhibits sleek styling details.

Unlike the Spyker models before it, the Preliator is supercharged. It is powered by a 4.2-litre 40-valve V8 engine with a power outage of 518bhp at 6800rpm and 443lb ft of torque. The new Dutch supercar hits 62mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 201mph. The car receives a Drexler limited-slip differential and a choice of either a six-speed Getrag manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

The chassis is completely aluminium and weighs in at 1390Kg. The suspension uses aluminium double-wishbones at the front and rear. Externally the Preliator features a large oval grille with the signature vintage Spyker logo, rear full-width light bar, quad tail lights and Spyker stamped tailpipes.

The cabin is given a host of bespoke styling details including an exposed gearbox linkage, an aeronautical-inspired dashboard with toggle switches and plush leather that can be specified in any colour.

Only 50 examples of the Preliator will be sold worldwide and prices start at €324,900.
