The 2017 Range Rover

Land Rover has updated the Range Rover, adding a host of advanced technology, a new engine and a new range-topper the SVAutobiography Dynamic edition.

The 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography will be available in 3 trim levels. The SUV receives advanced features from JLR, including autonomous emergency braking, driver fatigue monitoring, parking assistance and lane departure warning.

An optional Drive Pack offers Adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and rear cross-traffic detection. The Drive Pack Pro includes more advanced tech such as Queue Assist for autonomous driving in traffic. JLR’s launch control ‘Low Traction Launch’ is available as an optional extra for all specification levels.

The cabin now features JLR’s newest InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen display and ‘dual view’ allowing the front passenger and driver to see different displays simultaneously. The Pro pack allows for climate control and other features to be controlled remotely from an App on smartphones. The updated infotainment system includes a new navigation system, Wi-Fi connectivity and smartphone compatibility.

The 2017 line-up has a fresh engine choice, a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine from JLR. The new V6 is capable of 0-60mph in 7.1 seconds and produces 335bhp and 332lb ft of torque.

The new SVAutobiography Dynamic is the star of the show, as it is the most powerful Range Rover yet. The SVA D has been tuned by JLR’s Special Operations Division and has a tweaked chassis to give it a sportier edge. The SVA D has a 8mm lower ride height and revised suspension. The new model runs on a 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine linked to a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. It develops 542bhp and hits 60mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 140mph.

The SVA D edition comes with ‘Dynamic Response’ for less body roll and more agility. The Dynamic receives red Bremo brake calipers and chrome quad tailpipes. Exterior elements are finished in  Graphite Atlas including the vents, grille, bumper and badges. The interior is finished in premium diamond-quilted leather and upholstery.

The 2017 range has 19 new matt or gloss paints developed by the SVO team as well as new finishes.

The range-topping SVA D starts at £132,800 and the flagship’s pricing begins from £76,350.
