The All-New 2016 Audi A4 Revealed.

Audi has unveiled its new 5th generation A4 model, in saloon and avant form, which is lighter, more aerodynamic, faster, sharper and more technologically advanced than its predecessor.

The new A4 will be launched with a choice of three turbocharged four-cylinder petrol, two four-cylinder diesel and two V6 diesel engines, all featuring EU6 emission compliance. They are claimed to provide power increases of up to 25 per cent and economy gains of up to 21 per cent over the engines they succeed. Fuel-saving and low CO2 are the chief targets of the new model, explaining the inclusion of a 1.4-litre petrol engine, super-low 0.23 drag coefficient and cleanest model’s 95g/km emissions rating.

Front-wheel drive is standard on all models and four-wheel drive is optional on the 248bhp A4 2.0 TFSI as well as the 187bhp A4 2.0 TDI. Gearbox choices include a newly developed six-speed manual on all four-cylinder engines. A revised version of the existing seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic unit, which is available for the first time on front-wheel drive A4 models, comes as standard on the least powerful of the two 3.0-litre V6 diesels. The more powerful 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine receives a standard eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The interior of the new A4 features a contemporary new design with a more revolutionary cockpit. There are newly designed seats, new driver assistance systems and customers can choose between a wide range of high-end options such as a 12.3in digital instrument panel, a smartphone interface, an 8.3in monitor, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, tablet-based rear seat entertainment and the latest version of Audi’s Multi Media Interface (MMI) system that features an LTE internet connection.

The new Audi A4 will make its first public appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, where further details of the car will be revealed.
