The Jet-Inspired Bentley Breitling Continental GT Speed is Revealed!

Bentley has announced the production of seven limited-edition Continentals, named Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series Limited Edition.

The cars are customised by Bentley’s Mulliner personalisation division and their inspiration was taken from the Breitling Jets, famous for their aerobatic displays around the world.

Each continental resembles to one of the seven Breitling jets. Their carbon fibre fascia panel is designed to display the jet team in formation and the corresponding jet to their own car in yellow.

Although their technical specifications remain the same, the cars get an extreme makeover, both inside and out. The handcrafted models are painted in the widely known two-tone split colours of Hallmark and Onyx, coupled with a colour match to the Breitling L-39 Albatros jets’ distinctive yellow highlights.

The bespoke colour scheme continues into the cabin, with Breitling features covering the interior and sculpted seats. The logos and graphics in the headrests correspond to the individual jet that inspired the car and each of them gets its own uniquely numbered tread plates.

The cars will make their public debut at the Boeing Seafair Airshow in Seattle, on 31 July 2015, where the seven owners will be handed over the keys from the corresponding jet’s pilot personally. Bentley also promised that before the owners receive the keys, they have to experience a flight in their corresponding jet.

The Breitling Limited Edition Continental is expected to cost nearly £200,000, that is around £30,000 more than the standard model.
