The McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept

McLaren’s Special Operations division has revealed their latest one-off concept ahead of its public unveiling at Pebble Beach.

The MSO division has given the 570GT bespoke upgrades to showcase what they can do for McLaren clients. The special features on the new 570GT concept are all additional extras available on request through the MSO division now.

The concept features an ‘Electro-Chromic Roof’ to adjust the brightness of the cabin, through touch-sensitive panel in the headlining. There are 5 different tint setting ranging from dark to opaque. The high-tech roof is still in development but will be made available for regular 570GT customers.

The concept gets a beefed-up exhaust system developed by MSO, which is built out of titanium, making it 30% lighter than the regular 570GT. The  exhaust system is louder and the heat shields  are finished in gold titanium nitride tint which changes from gold to blue and purple as the system heats up.

The exterior has been given a special Elite Pearl white paintjob contrasted with the MSO’s ‘Piano Black’ Package. The Package renders the side vents, wheels, side skirts and some internal elements glossy black. The interior gets extra bells and whistles, including a 12 speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system and lacquered carbonfibre sills and panels.

The concept receives the same engine as the standard 570GT, a twin turbo 3.8-litre V8 producing 562bhp.

McLaren will debut the new concept by MSO at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where pricing for the new special features are expected to be revealed.
