The new Audi Q2
Audi’s newest addition to its SUV range, the Q2, has opened its order books in the UK. The urban-sized SUV comes in 3 trim levels and a limited edition model.
The small and stylish SUV is available in 3 standard trims; SE, Sport and S line. A total of 5 engine choices will be on offer, however only two will be released initially.
The entry-level Q2 is powered by a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine producing 148bhp and is capable of 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds. The car comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox and cylinder-on-demand technology. Pricing starts at £22,380 for the entry-level Q2.
Alternatively, there is a 1.6-litre TDI diesel engine offering 114bhp and a 0-62mph time of 10.3 seconds.
The SE trim includes 16 –inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable dampers and mirrors as well as Audi’s multimedia infotainment system (MMI) with advanced connectivity and smartphone integration.
The Q2’s sport trim is the mid-range spec, which for an additional £1,550 includes; cruise control, sports seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic lights and wipers and a range of 4 adjustable driving modes.
The current range-topping spec is the S Line which adds an extra £2,250 to the price of the Sport trim. The S Line features styling tweaks internally and externally, such as matt aluminium inserts in the cabin and premium leather upholstery. Externally, the car receives LED headlights and taillights. The S Line comes with 18-inch Alloys and Sports suspension.
The limited edition #1 Guise will be on sale for only a short time in September. The #1 Edition receives bespoke styling with a unique grey paintjob and darker contrasting body panels and a black styling pack with larger 19-inch alloy wheels. Internally, the theme is continued with contrasting stitching over the Nappa leather upholstery. The limited edition model will cost £31,170, not including optional extras.
The Q2 comes standard in a five-door and five-seat set-up and is on sale now in the UK.
