Based on figures recently released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the new car market in 2014 was the most successful for 10 years.
In 2014 the market grew by 9.3% comparing to 2013, and every month in 2014 saw an increase.
“…with a variety of new plug-in models expected in 2015, this area of the market will continue to grow significantly. For the market as a whole, 2015 is expected to be more stable as demand levels off.” Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive.
The UK remains second largest market in EU behind Germany, and has recorded growth 3.6% greater that the EU average of 5.7%. This makes it the second largest level of growth within the EU.
