The Range Rover Supersport by Overfinch

Specialist tuning company, Overfinch, is renowned for its Land Rover creations, and has now released its first Range Rover SVR rendition. The Range Rover Supersport made its debut at Salon Privé earlier this month.

Based on the Range Rover Sport SVR, the Supersport has been tweaked to make it lighter and faster.

Overfinch’s Supersport receives new lightweight 22-inch forged ‘Leggero’ monoblock alloy wheels, shedding 5.5kg per wheel. The alloys are designed in-house and bear the Overfinch logo. Wider tyres to fit the upgraded wheels cost an added premium. A new titanium exhaust is fitted, which is 11kg lighter than Range Rover’s original system.

The Supersport has additional carbonfibre bodywork, the most significant part being the new carbonfibre bonnet, weighing 33% less. A carbonfibre finish has been used across the rear valance, wheel arch spats, the front splitter and around the larger air intakes.  The car receives a new air filter house and a secondary intake.

The interior styling has been redesigned and features new seats finished in premium Bridge of Weir leather and carbonfibre weave material trim. Buyers have a full range of customisation and colour options. The Special launch edition includes a bespoke paintjob in ‘Ariana grey’ and the carbonfibre bodywork gets a lacquered satin-finish.

The new model runs on the same supercharged 5-litre V8 engine and should out-strip the standard car’s performance of 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and 542bhp output, however statistics are yet to be released.

Only 25 examples of the Overfinch Range Rover Supersport will be made, each priced at £179,990. The Special launch edition carries at heftier price tag of £198,990.
