The revamped 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport

Land Rover’s Discovery Sport has been refreshed for 2017, receiving a range of technology updates, new safety systems and styling tweaks.

The Discovery Sport now has advanced technology added to the cabin, including a new infotainment system and Bluetooth tracking app. The updated Incontrol Touch Pro infotainment system features a larger 10.2inch touchscreen and mirrors smartphone usage with ‘swipe’ and ‘pinch’ controls.

The Tile is a bluetooth tracking app, where small Bluetooth tags can be attached to everyday or important items of the owner’s choice, such as keys, phones and wallets. It will then detect if all the items are present and alert the owner before departing. On screen directions can be shown for the missing items last known location. The App is connected to the car,s infotainment touchscreen, as well as being operated from an app on apple or android smartphones. The Discovery Sport is the first car to offer the Tile.

New safety systems have been added to the 2017 model; an Intelligent Speed Limiter, which uses Traffic Sign Recognition tech to adapt to changes, Lane Keep Assist and a Driver Condition Monitor that detects drowsiness.

There are four new body colours available; Silicon Silver, Farallon Black, Carpathian Grey and Aruba. There’s also an optional Graphite Pack for an extra £1555 on SE and SE tech trims. The pack offers 19 inch alloy wheels, a contrasting Grey roof and Dark Atlas colour accents on the grille, bonnet script, and side vents.
