This is Mercedes GLK’s Successor; The GLC Coupe.

The new GLC concept coupe was unveiled at Shanghai Motor Show last week and it’s likely to take on the BMW X4.

The GLC Coupe, which is a blend of the GLE Coupe and the GLA 45 AMG, gets a raised ride height, an oversized grille, a sloping roofline and huge 21-inch wheels.

According to Mercedes, the GLC Coupe will be ‘the sportiest SUV there is’ and reckons it will get from 0-62mph in just under five seconds at a top speed of 155mph.

The SUV will feature a V6 petrol engine, with 362bhp and 520Nm of torque, a new 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC four-wheel-drive system for improved traction and off-road ability.

Even though there is no information on which engines they might be used, a line-up of four to six cylinder petrol and diesel engines are expected, as well as, a V8 AMG GLC version.

The starting price for the GLC Coupe is likely to be just below £40,000, with a long list of equipment as standard.
