TVR tease new sports car
The hotly anticipated new sports car from TVR has been teased in a new sketch and a covered-up model at the London Motor Show.
The British brand has given another glimpse of the new model at the London Motor show, the new car was kept under a cover. The latest sketch give hints as to styling and the name Griffith is expected to be used, harking back to famous older TVR models of the 1960s and 1990s.
The new TVR will run on a Cosworth V8, sending power to rear wheels and producing over 400bhp. The new model is expected to be capable of 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds and around 200mph flat out. The new TVR will use an advanced carbon-fibre chassis and the efficient ‘iSteam Carbon’ manufacturing process designed by Gordon Murray.
A special limited-run Launch Edition will be brought out, which will bear a higher price tag than standard TVR. 400 deposits of £5,000 each, have already been taken for the new TVR. First deliveries are due in 2017 and 1,500 models per year are expected to be sold. Pricing starts at £55,000 and the top of the range sits at £85,000.
