Unique F1-customised McLaren up for sale

A one-off 2012 McLaren MP4-12C, commissioned by Ron Dennis, will be auctioned in January.  It is the only car ever produced by MSO to be painted in the full F1 ‘Rocket red’ racing colours of Vodafone.

This special MP4-12C High Sport is one of only 10 cars that have the redesigned bumpers at the front and rear, side air extractors and louvres above the front wings. Equipped with a 592bhp, 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the MP4-12C sprints from 0-62mph in 3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 205mph.

Under the hood, the car bears the signatures of Ron Dennis, both drivers and the crew from the McLaren Formula 1 team, making it a true collector’s piece. There is a full carbon-fibre engine bay, revised instruments cluster, a Meridian sound system and carbon ceramic brakes.

The one-of-a-kind McLaren will be auctioned at Kissimmee in January, and is expected to fetch between £850,000-£1,000,000.
